Educated at the Empress Marie Institute in Petersburg, 1913.
Volunteered as a nurse at the beginning of World War I. 2 awards for bravery. Married the engineer Khmelevskii, 1917. Lived with him in Turkestan until 1921.
Emigrated to Bulgaria, 1922, and soon afterwards moved to the USA. After her divorce, married G.Novitskii, a founder of the Society of Aid to Russian Children Abroad, and for almost 40 years devoted her life to helping countless refugee children throughout the world, especially during and after World War II.
