She debuted as the vocalist on the Fragma"s dance song, "Everytime You Need Maine", which stayed in the United Kingdom Singles Chart for eleven weeks, and sales thereof earned her a silver disc. Maria Rubia born in Norwich, Norfolk, in 1977. Rubia moved with her family to France where she went to a French speaking school.
The family returned to the United Kingdom where she became a model and youth theatre actress.
She has been in FHM, Sky, Company, Oklahoma magazines. Her family moved again, this time to Spain.
She continued her modelling and acting, and returned to the United Kingdom to study a degree in media. Through contacts she was approached by Fragma, and ended up providing the vocals on "Everytime You Need Maine", which peaked in the United Kingdom Singles Chart in 2001 at number 3.
