Graduated from Harbin Law Institute.
Lived with her parents in Blagoveshchensk. During the October Revolution 1917, moved to Harbin with the White Russians. Worked as a journalist on Russian newspapers in China.
After World War II, arrested in Harbin by SMERSH and sentenced for her journalistic work to 10 years in the Gulag camps. Released, 1955. Her memoirs on pre-war Russian life in Harbin and her experiences in the women’s Gulag camps, Zhenskii Kontslager, which she wrote in a nursing home in Mordovia, were published in the West in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
