Career
Maria is a graduate of Political Sciences and History from Panteio University. In 2004 Maria co-hosted the Greek junior selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 which was held in Belgium.

In 2004 she won the title Mission Hellas (Greek: Μις Ελλάς) at the Mission Star Hellas pageant and went on to represent Greece at the Mission World pageant held in Sanya, China in December 2004. In the event Maria made the semifinalists among the top 20 contestants out of 108, who were selected to compete for the Top Fashion Model Award, the fourth of five "fast-track" events.
