María Villalón, is a Spanish singer and most notably the winner of the first series of Spanish version of The in 2007.
Career
Maria grew singing from an early age. Maria rose to fame in 2007 when she applied to take part in the musical reality show Factor-X, the Spanish version of The broadcast on Cuatro television channel. The album was released on 13 November 2007.
First and only single from the album was "Agüita de abril".
Her second album Los tejados donde fuimos más que amigos gave her another Top 40 single entitled Louisiana Lluvia
In her childhood, Rondo, in 2014, she recorded two songs in Esperanto, including Louisiana Pluvo (Louisiana Lluvia).

In 2006 she took part in Bienvenidos on Canal Sur and in selection rounds of Operación Triunfo where she reached the top 90 of the Spanish singing competition before being dropped. Only 17, she went on to win the contest singing "Cançao do mar" from Dulce Pontes and "María se bebe las calles" from Pasión Vega. Her album after her win was Te espero aquí by Sony BMG, although she had two pre-albums through a small Andalusian record label.
