She won a silver medal in the 4 x 5 km at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and also finished 8th in the 20km event in those same games. Dahlmo also won two medals in the 4 x 5 km FIS Nordic World Ski Championships (silver: 1987, bronze: 1989). She also won 4 World Cup Events during the late 1980s as well.
