The original version was published in 1987 and written by Marilyn Comrie and Carol W. Kimball. Material was updated by Marilyn Comrie and Patricia Pia. It is a story about how baptists came together by forming and reforming church bodies. It exemplifies how the church's ancestors and current members alike change with the times. The book details how the pastor and congregation operate the church to worship, teach others about the faith, and to join with people in the community.
