After graduate, Women's College, teaching work. From 1896 head, 3rd Kapnitsk Pyatnitskiy Hospital, Moscow. Tried to create conditions for all children to finish elementary schooling, regardless of their ability.
1903 petitioned Moscow Municipal Administration to establish auxiliary classes for mentally retarded children at the college. 1908 managed to obtain permission for this, with founding of Russia’s first auxiliary class. The class included exercizes to correct speech defects, develop rhythmics, handicrafts and encourage independent work and involve children in class administration
Her college became a center for training teachers at auxiliary schools. From early 1918 inspector of special schools for deviant children. From 1930, although retired, continued to sponsor work of auxiliary schools in Moscow.
