Career
From 1940 to 1945 she presented Forces Favourites on the World World War II British Broadcasting Corporation Forces Programme and British Broadcasting Corporation General Forces Programmes and then its peacetime successor Family Favourites on the British Broadcasting Corporation Light Programme. Between 1955 and 1968 she presented Home Foreign The Day on the British Broadcasting Corporation Home Service and is remembered as a presenter of Woman"s Hour from 1958 until her retirement in 1972. Anderson"s contribution to United Kingdom radio is commemorated in The Radio Academy"s Hall of Fame.
