Career
Eberhart holds a Bachelor of Surgery in chemistry and in applied mathematics at the University of Colorado, an Master of Surgery in physical biochemistry at the University of Colorado, and a Doctor of Philosophy in materials science and engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has published two books Why Things Break (2003), an autobiographical book describing his education and his studies of Stress and Fracture and Feeding the Fire (2007).
