Early administrative and entrepreneurial accomplishments
Out of college, Mark Hauser found employment at Cincinnati’s Reynolds DeWitt & Co. – a merchant banking firm involved with S-corporations and multiple partnerships. He joined this firm in 1985 and would ultimately serve it as a Vice President for well over a decade.
Shortly after Hauser joined Reynolds DeWitt, the firm’s cofounder Mercer Reynolds brought him together with future Cincinnati Reds owner Bob Castellini and several other entrepreneurs to establish the Linger Longer Development Corporation, which developed Reynolds Plantation on the shores of Lake Oconee just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. A Five Diamond Ritz Carlton Resort, Reynolds Plantation is also home to a range of residential developments as well as five championship golf courses.
Hauser also joined forces with Castellini to develop the Cincinnati Sports Mall. The largest indoor sports complex in Ohio, the Cincinnati Sports Mall features roughly 110,000 square feet of indoor athletic facilities, spans 13 acres of land, and supports more than 4,000 members. It is the official training facility of the Cincinnati Reds.
