Nielsen"s current position is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Frontier Communications Corporation (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation: FTR), at the company"s headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut. Frontier is the fourth largest ILEC telephone company in the United States. lieutenant provides wireline voice, data and video services to 3.2 million residential customers and 0.3 million business customers.
Nielsen helped negotiate Frontier"s $10.5 billion acquisition of Verizon"s wireline properties in California, Texas and Florida, a transaction that was announced on February 5, 2015.
In the 1990s, Nielsen worked as a lawyer at the Hartford law firm of Murtha, Cullina, Richter & Pinney, while simultaneously serving in the Connecticut Legislature. One aspect of his work for Government.
