Mark was a 3-year letterman and played from 1980-1985 under Coach Don James, which included 2 Rose Bowls, 2 Aloha Bowls and the 1985 Orange Bowl 28-17 victory over Oklahoma, resulting in a #2 final ranking in the nation.

He played college football at the University of Washington and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1985 NFL Draft. Following his NFL career, Pattison took up mountain climbing. In 2013, he began a goal to climb The Seven Summits on 7 continents.
To date, Mark"s successful ascents include Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) in 2013 (19,333"), Mount Elbrus (Russia) in 2014 (18,666"), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) in 2015 (7,310"), and Mount Aconcagua (Argentina) in February, 2016 (23,000").
His next ascent will be Denali (United States) at 20,310 foot If he completes his goal of climbing all seven, Mark will become one of only about 350 people who have climbed the highest peaks on all seven continents, and the first NFL player to climb all Seven Summits.
In 2013, Mark Pattison accepted a new role as SVP Biz Development NFL at Scout Media. Mark also heads up his own company, Maverick Consulting.
