Career
While playing at Louisiana State University he was the freshman Securities and Exchange Commission Defensive player of the year. He was drafted out of Louisiana State University in the 2000 NFL Draft in the second round (34th overall) by the Cincinnati Bengals. He played there for four years as a cornerback and free safety before the Green Bay Packers signed him as a free agent in 2004.
He played there for two years before being cut.
The 49ers signed him three days later. In 2009, Roman"s agent asked the 49ers to seek a trade with another team
