Mark Rozovskii, USSR Playwright, stage director.


Rozovskii, Mark was born in 1937 in Moscow.


Began writing for Iunost and other magazines in the early 1960s. Staged classical adaptations and his own original plays at Moscow University Students’ Theatre. His remarkable adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s Kholstomer(History of a Horse) in Georgii Tovstonogov’s production was performed by the Leningrad Gorkii Theatre at the 1987 Edinburgh Festival with great success.
