He served as Deputy Canadian Minister of Finance and Deputy Canadian Minister of Energy and is the Honorary Director of the Communicative Disorders Howe Institute. He was also the Chairman of the International Trade Advisory Committee for the Government of Canada and is Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Schulich School of Business at York University. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Osgoode Hall Law School and York University, Mr.
Cohen was called to the bar in 1960.
Mr. Cohen retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Molson Companies Limited in 1996. He served with the Government of Canada for 15 years, including appointments as Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade & Commerce, Energy, Mines & Resources, and Finance.
