Martin Marix Evans began his career in 1963 as a publisher, marketer, and tertiary editor at Longman Group, Harlow, Essex, England. From 1974 to 1981 he worked as a director of university and college publications, director of trade books, and marketing director at Pitman Publishing, London, England.
In 1981 Martin was appointed as an editorial director of Frederick Warne, London, and in 1982 as an editorial director of Thames Head, Avening, Gloucester, England, where he worked till 1987. Marix Evans also served as an editorial director of BLA Publishing. From 1989 to 2007 he was an owner of Book Packaging and Marketing and from 1988 to 1990 a chair of Independent Publishers' Guild. In 2007 Martin assumed the post of trustee and chair at Naseby Battlefield Project and worked there until 2011.
Marix Evans is also the author of dozens of books. His first work Paris: Guide along the Seine was published in 1991.
