In employ Sprague Electrical Railway Company, and Thomson-Houston Company, and later with General Electrical Company; later at work on construction Metropolitan Elevated Railway of Chicago, and its superintendent of motive power until 1898, when went to Montana to take charge of engineering and construction for Helena Water & Electrical
Power’ Company (Missouri River Power Company) in building dams and power plants for transmission of power to Helena, 18 miles, Butte, 65 miles, and Anaconda, 100 miles, upon completion of which he became its chief engineer and general manager.
Also consulting engineer Montana Power Company, operating lighting plants in all large Montana towns and power plants at Great Falls and Thompson Falls, 250,000 horse power Also constructed electrical pumping plants for irrigation at Helena and other points in Montana During World War served as Federal Fuel Administrator for Montana Chief engineer and agent, Saint Anthony Falls Water Power Company and Minneapolis Mill Company until 1924.
