dance teacher - head of studies - lecturer
With a strong professional background in dance, due to an education in France, I obtained a grant from the British Council, to keep going in post-graduate studies at the Laban Centre. I had many opportunities as a dancer and met the most famous teachers and choreographers in the field of modern and contemporary dance. The synthesis of Laban and dance studies led me to be specialized for dancers, but also lecturer for diploma course. I keep going working around the world.
From 10 to 15 years old: I study dance with Sedova, Madjesky, Rogala, then at the Conservatory in Nice with Kalioujny and Darsonval; the most complete and professional periode was the 5 years spent at Cannes under the direction of Rosella Hightower, where I could study ballet, modern, caracter dance , mime, jazz. Completed by many workshops with wonderful guest teachers and choreographers. I got a complete grant from The British Council for the Laban Centre, in postgraduate studies, and during that wonderful experience, I had the opportunity to dance in many performances and events, as well being part of projects with Merce Cunningham dance company. I went on in France with a B.A and M.A, and researches in dance. Director associated to Gianin Loringett for his dance company, we toured around Europe, during 5 years, being invited in theatres and festivals, in residency for creations. Always used to be in the field of professional dance, and having great difficulty to have a place to teach and create in Paris for the company, we decided to move to Nice where we opened a huge place dedicated to dance in the heart of the city. In France, dance was controlled by a diploma; being already asked for lectures in Europe about different subjects, and teaching to the Dance department at the Nice University, I accepted to be part of many symposiums and meetings to fix the content of the diploma and give a feed back of the professional situation in the region.
My teaching experience, led me also to create some choreographies for young dancers, and for other institutions.
Actually contemporary dance teacher in charge of dance students, head of the studies at the dance centre, I also accept to be part as jury for exams and competitions, to give lectures in dance history or in pedagogy, ..... or to share my experience in other professional high schools, in the world.
