She placed 5th in the women"s long jump, and was part of the women"s 4 by 110 yard relay team that placed 4th overall. She competed at the 1956 Olympic Games in the high jump where she came 7th (jumped the same height as silver medalist but lost on countback). First woman to jump over her own height.
5"3" jumped 5"7 1/2".
