2012 When District 78 incumbent Republican Representative Phillip Johnson retired and left the seat open, Littleton ran in the seven-way August 2, 2012 Republican Primary, winning with 1,273 votes (214%) and won the three-way November 6, 2012 General election with 14,077 votes (580%) against Democratic nominee Linda Hayes and Independent candidate Rick Wilson.
