She received her undergraduate degree from the Department of Literature and Culture at al-Fateh University in 1987 and works currently in the field of translation with an emphasis on historical studies. She currently works at the Old Cities Project in Tripoli Mississippi Salama has a number of book titles to her cr including Dreams of a Captive Girl (Ahlam Tifla Sajin).
