Masamoto Kitada graduated from the Law Department of Tokyo University (1912).
Masamoto Kitada entered Ministry oi Foreign Afairs. He assigned to various overseas offices at Germany, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Chile and Bolivia. Masamoto appointed Consul-General at Alexandria (1932) and Minister to Afghanistan (1934). Appointed Ambassador to Peru (1937) and concurrently to Ecuador and Bolivia. Resigned from the Ministry (1940) and became consultant (1941) to the Ministry. Appointed counselor of the Ministry (1955) and inspector for the diplomatic offices in Asia, Africa and Australia.
