Entered Yuasa Shichizaemon Shoten Company and became its senior managing director (1921). Entered Chosen Ginko (Bank of Korea) and became vice-manager of its Tokyo Branch (1929). Became president of Osaka Fudo Bank (since 1950). Assumed additional post of director of Nichiro Fishery Company. Appointed chief of General Affairs Section of Tokyo Sosaiseki, manager of Peking Branch, resident director in Peking and chairman of Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
