He graduated from Waseda University with a degree in architecture in 1924.
Career
After graduating from Waseda University with a degree in architecture (1924) he worked for 10 years with a firm of architects. Later he became president of Japan Art Publishing Company (1943) whose name he then changed to Bijutsu Shuppan (Art Publishing) Company (1948). He was president of Bijutsu Shuppan Company.
