Masaru Nomizo participated in the labor union movement. When the Japan Farmers Union was recognized (1947), he became its vice-chairman. Served as a State Minister in the Ashida Cabinet (1948). He has written many articles on social and agricultural problems.
He was a member of the House of Councilors, a leader of the Right-Wing Socialist Party.
