He graduated from Yamaguchi Higher Commercial School in 1932.
Career
Masato Matsumoto entered Kokusai Tsuun (International Express Company) and after successive promotions became chief of Import Section of its Moji Branch in 1937. After that company was renamed Nihon Tsuun Kaisha (Japan Express Company) served at is Business Department.
After Kachu Unyu Kaisha (Central China Transport Company), a subsidiary company of the above company, was established, toured major cities in Central China accompanying Vice-President Murakami; resigned in 1940.
He served as executive of Nihon Kokuki Kaisha (Japan Aircraft Company) and thereafter became senior managing director of the newly established Taiyo Kozan Kaisha. Held additional post of director of Japan Mining Association.
