Until 1877, engaged for most part in hunting, lumbering, teaching and farming. Lectured in Maine for Greenback party, 1878. In 1879 managed and edited The Greenbacker, 6 months’ campaign paper, and in 1880 The Bangor Record, another 6 months’ paper.
Lectured in Massachusetts in interest of B. F. Butler and in New Hampshire (U.S.) for Greenback party, 1879.
Removed to Gloucester, Massachusetts, 1884, and for health lived in woods. Lecturer upon “The Intelligence of Animal Life,” since 1896.
Freethinker. Republican Greenbacker.
