Massoud Momeni is an electrical engineer, microelectronics scholar, professor, inventor, and author. He has worked in integrated-circuit design and automotive safety electronics, and since 2015 has been a professor of microelectronics and microsystems technology at HTW Berlin.
Education
Momeni studied electrical and information engineering at Technische Universität Darmstadt and microelectronics at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his diploma studies in 2005 and subsequently earned a doctorate at the Institute of Data Technology at Technische Universität Darmstadt, specializing in system and circuit design, including analog and mixed-signal VLSI and discrete-time low-voltage delta-sigma modulation.
Career
Momeni began his professional engineering career in the automotive-electronics sector at Robert Bosch GmbH in Reutlingen, where he worked from 2010 to 2015 as an IC design engineer, technical project manager, and safety manager. His work included the development of safety electronics and airbag-system ASICs in accordance with ISO 26262. In 2015 he joined Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin as a full professor in microelectronics. At HTW Berlin he teaches and conducts research in microelectronics and microsystems technology, with documented areas of focus including sensor interfaces, automotive safety electronics, neuromorphic circuits and systems, delta-sigma converters, and functional safety. He also leads the university's Entwurf und Applikation laboratory.
