Elected to a Fellowship at Oriel College, 1852. Tutor and Classical Lecturer at Oriel, 1853-1862. Ordained by Bishop South. Wilberforce, Oxfordshire., Deacon, 1855.

Priest, 1856.

Vicar of Coleby, near Lincoln, 1862-1890. Prebendary of Lincoln since 1887.
