錫胤 中島
Masutane was indirectly connected with the assassination of Shogunate Prime Minister Naosuke Ii by ronin of the Mito Clan in 1860. Because of his anti'-Shogunate activities, he was at one time placed under house arrest. After the Meiji Restoration in 1838, he served as governor in various prefectures and in 1873 was appointed a judge. In 1884 was appointed a member of the Senate and later the House of Peers.
