He was educated at Kerala University and studied theology at Orthodox Seminary and Serampoor University. He also studied at Leningrad Theological Seminary and Pontifical Oriental Institute at Rome.
Career
Mathews March Severios
He ordained as deacon in 1976 and a priest in 1978. He ordained as bishop in 1993 and currently serving as the bishop of Kandanad West Diocese. He is teaching at Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam since 1984.
He is Secretary to the Holy Episcopal Synod.
He organised several charitable projects at the diocese level March Pachomios Charitable Society formed in the memory of the metropolitan of the diocese runs charitable projects namely Pratheeksha Bhavan, Prasanthi Bhavan, Prathyasa Bhavan, Pradanam Centre, Pramodam Project, Prasannam Bhavan, Prakasam Institute of Special Education and Prathibha Products.
