Career
He currently works for British Broadcasting Corporation Radio 6. He was a drummer for Britpop band Menswear and The Montrose Avenue in the 1990s. Radio Everitt began his career in radio in 2002 on XFM, where he presented various shows and documentaries.
He stayed with the station until 2007.
2007 saw Everitt join British Broadcasting Corporation Radio 6, where he presented music news magazine show The Week for the next three years. He has since gone on to write and present The News and interview series The First Time With.. hosting shows with guests including David Gilmour, Michael Stipe, Noel Gallagher, Lars Ulrich, Michael Stipe, Pete Townshend, Elton John, David Lynch, Brian Wilson, Bjork, Quentin Tarantino and Dave Grohl.
He appears daily on Shaun Keaveny"s 6 Breakfast Show, presenting the News. He regularly features on television on shows including British Broadcasting Corporation News, Sky News, Channel 5 and Music Television as a music journalist.
He also presents a News segment, currently on Thursday, during Ken Bruce"s British Broadcasting Corporation Radio 2 programme.
Matt also acts as a music consultant for One Company.
