Career
A four-time finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Heideman Award, Matt was also a 2008 Edward Albee Foundation Fellow. As an actor: Yale Representative, Louisiana Jolla Playhouse, The Acting Company and many cartoons such as Pokémon, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also New York City’s premier solo show coach, Matt’s students include winners of the 2005, 2009 & 2010 FringeNYC Best Solo Show Awards, the 2008 FringeNYC Best Actress Award and more.
Brown University, Bachelor in Playwriting.
University of California, San Diego, Master of Fine Arts in Acting. On August 6, 2005, Hoverman and fellow actor Katie Atcheson, who played several roles in In Transit, were married. He is also an ardent admirer of Marvel Comics.
