He last played for the Laredo Buckinghamshire in the Central Hockey League. Prior to turning professional, Pierce attended Mercyhurst College where he played four seasons of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I ice hockey with the Mercyhurst Lakers men"s ice hockey team
