Career Fitzpatrick and Jimmy Mullen were the only amateurs to make the cut, with Fitzpatrick finishing on 294 to Mullen"s 299. In September 2013 he played in the Walker Cup. Fitzpatrick turned professional after the 2014 United States. Open, forfeiting his exemption to the 2014 Open Championship.
His professional debut was at the 2014 Irish Open.
He qualified for the 2015 European Tour after successfully completing the 2014 European Tour Qualifying School. In July 2015 Fitzpatrick finished second in the Omega European Masters, a shot behind Danny Willett, winning the second prize of 300,000 euros.
After this victory he entered the World Top 100 for the first time with a ranking of 59. wins (2) 2012 Boys Championship European Tour wins (1) Los Angeles = Low amateur DNP = Did not play CUT = missed the half-way cut "T" = tied Yellow background for top-10.
