He participated in the Volvo Ocean Race five times: in 1989-1990 with With Integrity, 1993-1994 with Reebok/Dolphin & Youth, 1997-1998 with America"s Challenge and Swedish Match, 2001-2002 with Team SEB and Team News Corporation and 2005-2006 with Brunel.
