Roosevelt and unanimously confirmed by Senate, January 1930, resigned. Appointed Company Health Commissioner, Westchester Company, 1930. In co-operation with Dr. William H. Park, Director of Research Laboratory of New York City Department of Health, demonstrated by a series of experiments on guinea pigs that value of tetanus antitoxin in the treatment of Lockjaw was greatly enhanced when injected directly into spine.
Subsequently in a series of Lockjaw cases occurring in and about New York City, value of method was proven.
