In 1890 a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Feustmann completed his architectural studies at the Royal Polytechnic Institute in Munich, Germany.
Following his return to Philadelphia in 1893, he served as draftsman in architectural offices in the city until early in the 1900’s.
Leaving New York, Mr. Feustmann opened an office at Saranac Lake, N.Y. and became known there as a specialist in designing hospitals and sanitariums. Among his best known works in that field were; State Sanitarium, Pittsford, Vermont (1906); Canandaigua County Tuberculosis Hospital at Syracuse, N. H. (1914), William Wirt Winchester Hospital, New Haven, Conn. (1915); and the Laurentia Hospital at New Haven.
During the latter part of his career he formed a partnership with WiIliam H.Scopes of Saranac Lake, and continued that association until his death.
From 1909 was a member o fAmerican Institute of Architects.
