Secured for French Government its first war loans in United States, $10,000,000, November 1914, and $25,000,000, April 1915, first allied war bonds on American market. Suggested and organized observance in the United States, beginning September 6, 1915, of double anniversary of birth of Lafayette and Battle of Marne.
Organized American participation in Centenary of Marcelin Berthelot and foundation of Maison de la Chimie and memorial to Berthelot.
