He began his career as the Director of the Economic and Social Research Centre of Ferrara. From 1989 to 1995, he was the Chairman of SUFER Società per Azioni, a leading company in the Renewable Energy Sector. In 1999, he became the Managing Director of Agea Società per Azioni and on April 28, 2005 the Board of Directors of Hera Group appointed him Chief Executive Officer, a post he held until 2014.
Membership
From 1995 to 1999 he was a partner at SMAER, a management consultancy company in charge of Public Administration, and was a member of the Board of Directors.
