Career
He was drafted in the 10th round by the Montreal Canadiens in 1985 while playing for the RPI Engineers men"s ice hockey team After finishing university Maurizio played in the minors and briefly with the Canadian National Team before going to Italy. He played sixteen seasons primarily in Italy but also in Germany and England before beginning a coaching career in 2006.
Currently he is the head coach of South Carolina Riessersee.
Maurizio Mansi played in the Olympics in 1994, and 1998 for team Italy. Additionally he played in the World Championships ten times.
As a coach he has been an assistant coach for Spain in the Division II world championships three times.
