Donbrow, Max was born on the 9th ofJanuary, 1920 in London. He is a son of Ralph Denton and Paulina (Eckstein) Dombrowski.
Max grauated from the University of London, where he acquired a Bachelor of Pharmacy, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a Doctor of Philosophy and a Doctor of Science from 1943 to 1981.
From 1938 to 1940 Max was employed as a clerk at Community Pharmacy in London. Then, he became a senior research assistant to chief analyst at May and Baker Manufacturers Ltd. He also worked as a lecturer, then senior principal lecturer, at Chelsea College of Science and Technology in London from 1946 to 1965. Besides, he was employed as a professor pharmacy and head department pharmacy at Hebrew University in Jerusalem from 1965 to 1988. Since 1988 he worked as a Professor Emeritus there. Moreover he had an experience as a consultant to pharmaceutical companies. He was a lecturer at the Royal Institute of Chemistry from 1956 to 1958. Moreover, Max was a visiting professor at various universities, for example, in Tokyo, Melbourne, Ghana, United States etc.

2020Max is a member of the Neighborhood Administrative Council in Jerusalem, since 1986, a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society; International Pharmaceutical Federation; Controlled Release Society and Microencapsulation Society.
