He was a team captain of the Florida Gators college football team, where he was recognized as second-team all-Securities and Exchange Commission in 2014. He was drafted in the fourth round, 133rd overall, in the 2015 NFL draft. Garcia originally attended the University of Maryland before transferring to Florida.
Garcia was on the Broncos Super Bowl 50 championship team after they beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10.
