Career
Miller worked at National Broadcasting Company in New York City, where he directed the original Today show hosted by Dave Garroway, and the National Broadcasting Company documentary series Wide, Wide World. He later worked for Columbia Broadcasting System and American Broadcasting Company. After moving to California in 1964, Miller created a series of documentaries on social issues via his companies Avanti Films and Motivational Media. He recruited Robert Culp for the piece on racism, Sal Mineo for one on LSD, Dick Van Dyke for one on smoking, and Sonny Bono for one on marijuana.
He died of a cerebral hemorrhage at North Hollywood Medical Center in Studio City, California.
