Originally born and raised in Harlan, Iowa she presently resides in rural Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Jones is a lawyer with the Hemphill Law Office, Public Limited Company in Spencer.
After graduating from Spencer High School, Jones attended Drake University. Jones balanced a full-time job with her studies and graduated with degrees in Law, Politics and Society and Business.
She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.
Jones claims membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Spencer Daybreakers Kiwanis group. She received a 93% rating from the National Rifle Association. She received an 8% rating from the Iowa Federation of Labor.
