Career
He received a Bachelor of Surgery degree in Business Management (1974) and an Master of Surgery degree in Economics (1976) from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. He was also awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Management at Claremont Graduate University in 1981 for his thesis Bureaucracy in Iran: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives.
