Meika Uno

Background

Meika Uno was born on June 27, 1698 in Kyoto, Japan. He had a younger brother Shiro.

Education

Meika Uno gave up his family business of transportation to study under Sansei Mukai. Later studied by himself and was greatly inspired by Sorai Ogyu.

Career

Meika Uno differed with Sorai and established himself as the founder of a new school. He was often invited to serve clan lords but always declined.
