Career

This was her fifth attempt at a Mission United States of America state title, as she had previously competed in the Mission Connecticut United States of America and Mission Massachusetts United States of America pageants since 2002. Her sister titleholder is Olga Litvinenko, Mission Connecticut Teen United States of America 2007. Mudry is a 1999 graduate of Saint Paul Catholic High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Psychology from the Eastern Connecticut State University in 2001.

In 2007 she will complete a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas"s distance learning program

She competed in the Mistress America 2009 pageant, which was held on September 9, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona.

Achievements

• Mudry won the Mission Connecticut United States of America 2007 title in a state pageant held at in Danbury, Connecticut on 12 November 2006. Mudry placed fourth runner-up at Mission Massachusetts United States of America 2002, first runner-up to future Mission United States of America Susie Castillo in the Mission Massachusetts United States of America 2003 pageant, was a semi-finalist in the 2005 event and placed first runner-up to Jeannine Phillips in Connecticut in 2006. Mudry represented Connecticut in the Mission United States of America 2007 pageant that was held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 23, 2007. On Junior 7, 2009, Mudry won the Mistress Connecticut America 2009 pageant under her married name, Melanie Varian.
