Melissa Allene Buck, American Neuroscientist, researcher. Achievements include development of genetically engineered human celllines to express muscarinic cholinergic receptors that are not normally present in these cells to explore the structure-function characteristics of cholinergic receptors in the central nervous system and the effect of Alzheimer's disease on these receptors in order to help us develop treatment of the disease.
